The IACET Awards Program showcases the best of the best of the nominations presented.

award trophy

Continuing Education and Training providers who earn the IACET Accreditation Standing undergo a rigorous peer-review process that sends a message to their respective industries that they have met or exceeded IACET Accredited Standard for Continuing Education and Training. In the past, one organization per category is the recipient of the award. Over the past two years, we have noticed that the submissions have been amazing! To expand the awards program to include additional awardees, we will make three finalist awards with one winner for each category, with the exception of the Distinguished Service Award.

Award recipients are honored at the IACET Awards Dinner during the Annual Continuing Education and Training Conference. If you have questions about the process, please contact Jessica Perdomo at Jessica.Perdomo@iacet.org.

    Introduction

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has established an endowment fund to support the Grover J. Andrews Research Award to recognize Grover J. Andrews, Ed.D., for his visionary leadership and profound contributions to research in the field of continuing education and training.  His support for research, particularly within the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, has led to continuous quality improvements in the field, now incorporated into programs in education, business, industry, government, health care, professional and trade organizations, and labor unions.  The Continuing Education Unit Criteria and Guidelines, continually updated through research programs spearheaded by Dr. Andrews, are now used throughout the world as the benchmark for quality continuing education and training programs.

    Purpose

The purpose of the endowment is to support research studies aimed at refining and strengthening standards of good practice in continuing education and training.  The fund supports projects that result in an IACET publication useful to continuing education and training professionals and organizations. IACET's Grover Andrews Research Committee decides on specific projects to fund on a annual or bi-annual basis.
