The diversity that IACET represents in the continuing education and training community is one we are proud to support. Having such a wealth of knowledge and experience in continuing education and training (CE/T) within our membership means we can share ideas, promote best practices and foster growth of CE/T professionals.
IACET’s volunteer opportunities bring together professional training practitioners and leaders to explore the many facets of the CE/T industry. IACET relies on its members to provide volunteer leadership and support for its many programs, events and services. Make the most out of your IACET membership and volunteer today!
Why you should participate:
IACET invites you to choose from a variety of volunteer opportunities!
To participate in a committee, please login and click the Committees link. Committee signups typically open in September and are open through October.
Help award the best and brightest in continuing education and training programs. Participate virtually in the spring (by reading entries on your own) and participate in several conference calls to determine awardees. Assist with the awards reception planning and provide feedback to improve future award programs.
Want to know how IACET works? This committee looks closely at policies and procedures of each leadership group to ensure that they are in line with the bylaws and consistent between the groups.
What conferences are you attending and where are you giving your presentation? This task group will be gathering a list of conferences that IACET members attend and/or host, and will be looking into submitting proposals and developing a standard PowerPoint presentation.
IACET’s Finance Committee meets quarterly to review the organization’s budget, its investments and overall financial health.
Help define IACET's marketing strategies nationally and internationally and develop an IACET ambassador kit for volunteers to utilize.
Help IACET recruit key professionals from the CE/T community to lead the organization and guide the implementation of its strategic plan. IACET’s Nominations & Elections committee meets each year to conduct the annual call for openings on the Board of Directors. The committee meets to discuss the N&E process, publicize the call for nominations and acts as an impartial vetting board in developing a slate for the membership to submit their votes.
