The IACET Commission: The force that is pivotal to the accreditation and reaccreditation of IACET Accredited Providers worldwide.
These experts in continuing education and training (CE/T) direct and administer the process by which organizations are approved as Accredited Providers. This includes reviewing applications, working with applicants to address questions and application gaps and conducting application interviews to verify the accuracy of information provided in the Accredited Provider accreditation application.
Because IACET accreditation is a framework for continuous improvement, the Commission is also responsible for the continued monitoring of Accredited Provider education and training activities. This helps to ensure compliance with the ANSI/IACET Standard for Continuing Education and Training.
The IACET Commission operates independently from the IACET Board of Directors. However, the Board can be brought in as an appellate body to review decisions upon request. The Commission’s operations are governed by IACET’s bylaws and its own policies and procedures.
Commission members are appointed by the IACET Board of Directors based on recommendations from a task force comprised of the Commission Executive Committee and two representatives from the IACET Board of Directors. The Commission Chair is appointed by the president of the Board, with approval by its members. Commission members serve three-year terms.
