Announcement

Reston, Virginia – The accreditation Commission of The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) recently met in Ft. Worth, Texas and advanced the IACET accreditation process with two notable policy changes:

  1. Effective immediately, providers who are navigating the accreditation process will be eligible to receive a live web conference with the reviewing commissioners for the purposes of clarification of comments or deficiencies cited in a review for accreditation. IACET Commission Chair, Dr. Dan Hiltz said, “the Commission wants to improve communications, clarity, and efficiency of our review process.  Dedicating the time and resources to do this, we believe, is a step toward making IACET accreditation even more valuable.”  Providers will be eligible for conference calls with reviewing commissioners after the first round of feedback is given to the provider.

  2. Effective immediately, IACET commissioners have imposed new goals to reduce the amount of time it takes to process accreditation documents after a site review.  This will result in accreditations being processed faster and more efficiently than in the past.  These changes will result in having applications processed as much as a week faster than before.  IACET CEO, Joe McClary said, “time is money and if IACET can streamline its process to save providers as much time as possible, it adds value to the accreditation.”
