Press Release: The Artist Behind the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Art

Spring of this year marked the unveiling of the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) commemorative artwork for its 2021 2^nd Annual Continuing Education and Training Conference, “Innovating Then, Innovating Now: Setting the Standards for Quality”.  The art piece is the visionary expression of acclaimed tattoo artist and celebrated designer, William Gooch, also known as Mickey Allen. 

“This was a fun piece to design and create for IACET.  Learning about the organization and all the different affiliations represented was incredible.  I’m impressed and to be able to use my vision and creativity for this piece was kinda cool.  I appreciate the opportunity to have my work in front of a world stage. I’m honored.” says Gooch. 

Gooch’s intent from start to finish was to capture the mission and vision of the IACET organization while exhibiting the far-reaching impact of continuing education worldwide and beyond.  Portrayed from outer space, the astronaut heroine featured in this piece connects the rich, diverse platform of continuing education and training with the countries and organizations that provide it all over the globe.  The underlying theme is how IACET bridges the gap between the two and is interwoven masterfully into the piece.  

“The all-encompassing way William Gooch captured the far-reaching influence of Continuing Education and Training world-wide on canvas is both innovative and unique.  It is a fresh perspective and is surely a piece that will continue to inspire both IACET and the continuing education and training industry for years to come,” says Dee Wells, the Marketing and Communications Manager for IACET. 

The original was unveiled to the IACET staff in June of this year and is a 22½ x 30″ painting done n acrylic paint.  Whether you view it on display at IACET’s 2^nd Annual Conference September 21-22, 2021 or bring home a poster from the conference where this print will be widely available, you’ll want to study the vivid, realistic feel found there.  The minute details given to the world flags, book designs, space gear, and more will surely transcend you to a place of multi-culturalism, intellect, and creativity.   William Gooch’s art gallery is forthcoming and will feature more custom designs from the artist.
