International Association for Continuing Education and Training Moves from Authorized to Accredited Provider

(McLean, VA, June 8, 2015)— The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) announced today that it will now refer to its member organizations as Accredited Providers (APs).  The move to Accredited Providers ties more closely with the overall strategic mission of IACET:  to advance the global workforce by providing the standard framework for quality learning and development through accreditation.

There is also a practical consideration.  “Time and time again our member organizations tell us the number one value proposition of IACET is the third-party validation and objective accreditation of quality training we provide” says Sandra Williams, IACET President.  “We believe it is time for our member organizations to be fully recognized by their training clients and the public-at-large for what they are - an elite group of accredited providers of high quality continuing education.”

IACET has over 600 Accredited Providers offering thousands of continuing education and training courses each year.  For more information on IACET and becoming an Accredited Provider, visit www.iacet.org.
